could one of you guys photoshop a bubbletop roof onto my shoebox?,,,,,ive been experimenting with all kinds of possiblities,,im leaning towards a particular look,,but id really like to see of a bubbletop roof would look out of place on the car....thanks in advance for your help..
yeah,,,,,i gotta consider all possibilities, right?? i have as feeling it might look cool....kinda like starbirds predicta or forecasta... worth a look i say...
No offense Jim but i think the rear is too "SWOOPED" .I think bringing up the rear would make it look better. At least to my eye. Love the merc trim though. Hey what do i know i drive a Ford! Later Mike
mike,,,i may end up taking some of the taper back out.......it looks different in person for some reason,,,but i am considering adding some metal back.....did you start on that merc yet?
thank you,,,,if any of you photoshoppers take a crack at it,,i would like to see the bubble end basically where the front of the quarter starts (or maybe a LITTLE longer)...its gonna be a 2 seater,,,,,,,,,, thanks for getting it started,,i appreciate it
nope,,,just a 56 olds quarter section,,,,the exhaust will exit from the bottom holes where the backup lights normally go
heres the best i could find for now,,i know the angle is wrong for photoshopping,,but this pic will give you guys some idea of what im thinking..
Jim. I'm always watching whay your doing and i'm amazed at how much energy you have and how you have no FEAR of cutting a car up till it suits you. I'm also afraid I'm gonna get on this thread and youlll be carving out a plaster mold based on your shoebox and your original car will be gone! No , seriously if I had some suggestions I would have already drawn them out. I'm waiting to see where this leads to, then i'll jump in there and throw my 2 cents worth in. I think about this thing every other day, its fun to watch this one!
A bubble with a chrome trim band over the top similar to the Ford Mystere show car might be cool....without the big scoop on the front, though. Hoping to get with Greyhound tomorrow about the Olds windshield frame tomorrow.....incase you decide to go "conventional."
ive said it before,,but i have to say it again,,you guys rule!!!!!!!!!! where else could i go and get so much great help???...nowhere,, i figured i have considered so many other things on the car,,id be remiss if i didnt at least consider a bubbletop,,,,, Customcory...you are incredible,,,i love that picture,,,,the other one you did for me gets shown to everyone that comes by the shop,,,,,,,thank you SO much for taking the time to do that.....
i always like that bubble top on that gold 60? el camino,,,,,,,,i think that car is called ultimus or something like that,,,,,a top like that would be great.....
thank you,,,,not a bad color combo too,,,,,, now i can really see that i do need to untaper the quarters a bit,,just noticed you rounded my door corners for me too,,,,,,,cool...thanks hard to visualize what it would look like,,thats why you guys are SO much help... thanks again!
dave,,that is really cool...i couldnt even begin to figure out how to build one like that though,,,,, "conventional"......hahaha talk to you later
No worries. I like the idea of the Olds screen, chrome channel window frames on the doors and a bubble for the rest of the roof. Glad the back will be somewhat untapered. What you have would work, but only with fins to put the depth back into the body.
