I got it in a trade with an H-D for my `28 RPU roller. The only thing I did was snatch some Cal Chrome wheels with equal "patina" off eBay for $60 and chuck them on it, add a new Starter and Battery. She runs and drives great with the 240 6 cyl. Well, great for an Econoline. It used to belong to the US Navy...
You're gonna pee in that thing? I just use a 1 qt mixing cup, but you must have an overactive bladder. Better see a doctor... On the other hand, cool!
Man, I dunno. He got one hell of a car in trade... I think he is regretting the H-D more then the E-line
Is that the shows where they talk about being green and alternative fuels? or the other Eco where they talk about bumpsteer and wearing ear plugs?
Slam it, Candy & Metal flake it, slap some rabbit ears on it and put a couple of them Cool Beach Cruisers in the back of it.....DONE!
Yeah, I will be at Moondoggy with it. the motor runs great, but I have a 302/C-6 sitting around that may just find it's way into it, but not by then. As far as the outside, I am gonna keep it like that for now. I already have a crazy painted car I freak out about scratching...
AWW DOOD! THAT THING IS BADASS! very cool trade, very cool wheels, very cool "patina" ,, does it get hot in that cab?
was one of these a hot wheels model in the 60,s ?? i think i had one. cannot remember the name, sumthing about surfing ? anyone got a pic. thanx, dermott.
Here's the bike that was involved in the trade as well... The cab of the Econoline is not as hot as it is loud. I am getting $100 worth of FatMat for the doghouse and floor, so it should quiet and cool it down pretty well.
They are nice, use'ta have one without the corner glass,,put a little glass pack on it,,they sound great when pullin'.
Awesome!!, I love those cat eye dandies!! The blue one Bob posted is really bad ass. Have fun with that project--project??--I'm driving it--its done!! Rock on~Sololobo~
Used to be one like that (year wise) years ago I'd see at the Sacramento dragstrip, rear engine mounted (don't know what kind) and would run through the 1/4 in a wheelie. They are cool looking...but funny how ugly they were 30 years ago
very cool...I've got one and keep going back and forth on whether I should sell it...after seeing the pic BadBob posted I am having second thoughts...nice bike you scored in the deal too
I will decide when I get the V-8 in it if it will go nose-up. All it would take is a set of slicks on OE wheels, 2" blocks and a set of skinny Radirs out front...
buy a donor and make it an extended cab with rear seating and stretch the wheel base about 18 inches...you'll wind up with a slightly smaller bed but I think the proportions would look good...always thought that would look cool
