Its got stock suspension front and rear, even though I will be swapping the rear leafs for a link setup soon. In the front I cutdown and reinforced the cups, then I made a plate so that a small firestone bag would fit inside the lower control arm. The clearences are real tight, but it doesnt rub the bags. Its also got Fatman dropped spindles and steering arms.

The rear has a 12 inch notch. I did it big in case I ever wanted to add a rear sway bar or a panhard bar. Tires are 215/75/15 front and rear.

  11. Like this one?...

Back when I first got my '51 (about 5 years ago), I was a fiend for pics of kustom Chevys...searched all over the net, magazines, etc. I remember that car in black and flat purple too, with a few different sets of caps. I have pics somewhere, but can't seem to find 'em at the moment.

Great work on the rear of the car...who did it?

I did it when i was in college. All the tri 5 guys wanted to kill me for puttin that bumper on the rear end. I have way to many hubcaps, that kills me.

1952 chevy..... Sepia pics are the night before Autorama 2008 in Houston.... Color pics are under lights in the convention center at show today. Show opens tomorrow.

Ran 14.73 at the Day of the Drags, with top speed of 94 mph in the 1/4. Drove it there about 300 miles, ran it down the strip a bunch'o times, and then drove home with the fellas.

Thank goodness for camera trickery and lighting.... makes the old rust bucket look nice.

Early in this thread there was the debate on 'Hotrod' or 'Custom'.
I personally own the custom versions of the stated year cars and it seems to be the most popular style now. But what 'style' do you think was most popular in the cars' heyday.
