I'm sure you've all seen it before but here's mine as it appeared when I got it to Australia from Canada.
Has now been dismantled and transferred to another chassis I had built while searching for a body ( These weren't available in Australia). Work is progressing with a 5.0L injected Ford and 4 speed auto, 9", www & steelies.

This thread inspired me to buy this old stock car and try to save it. It needs everything, but it is a 34 coupe! Plans are stock frame, 40 rear, unsplit bones, drop axle, 39 trans, motor...have not decided. Does anyone have the tips of the quarters or some roof pieces?

Looks like cdansie's coupe and gearhead's coupes need to trade hood sides - both have the wrong year hood sides but if they swapped, cdansies would be all '33 and gearhead's all '34.

Rosa, what did the roadster body look like when you started? It looks great now, but we would like to see what you brought home way back when.

Here is another shot of my 33 five window, one of the body I dragged home, and the way it looks today - still a long way to go, but it is getting there.

i just grew up around this and i come to realize im alittle obsessed like my dad, those are his cars, last christmas i made at staples (it was only 9.99) a 12 month calender of all his cars hes done,i guess that roadster was beyond a mess when he started it,just recently he started taking pics thru out the building processes, there usually sooo bad i think he didnt want to remeber all the work done,i mean he know but no pics,he got rid of that one prob bout 5-6yrs ago,i just thought it was a good pic to add-he still has 32,33,34 fords-im kinda glad i found this site anyway thought my dad was the only crazy one bringin cars back ,i think he cant believe how obsessed i am with the cars now

A couple shots of the one built of all spare parts by Rudy Rodriguez and Paul Hoffman a couple years back... It even had mechanical brakes!

Here's the push bar that was on it, I had to remove it to put in a gas tank, I wish I hadn't, I still have it though.

  18. 1933 Ford 3 window coupe (Medium).jpg 33 Ford Body (Medium).jpg Here's what I started with.
Lot's of "Lace" around the bottom of the body, cowl vent and top, so I used all of the available patch panels.
I hit a lot of swap meets to find all of the other pieces, and in some cases I didn't even know what I was looking for.
It was a fun build and turned out nice, I have over 95,000 miles on it now.

  21. Update on mine: Received my SAR 1/4 panels, subrails and panels below the decklid, innner and outer....fired the motor and it's a keeper! Made a decision to use a T-5 behind the flathead and got the Speedway adapter and an old camaro T-5 and the speedway open drive conversion kit for the 40 rear axle....now, if I'd get my ass of this damn computer and get in the garage I might actually get some of the parts installed!

Rosa, thanks for the early pics of the roadster, they look great! Oh to find one like that today.

Flathead 34 - very nice job saving your 3 window. What is the story on the floor panels - who makes them?

Hemideuce - how about some early shots of your 3 window?
