Hey Ya'll.. I got a guy that REALLY wants to buy a Mid-60's to Late-60"s non cage injected sprint car. We didn't move fast enough on "Racinfools", (actually.. I was trying to get my old man to buy it first!)

Anyways, thought someone might know of one I missed.

    Any condition..

Funny, I was trying to Get my dad to buy it. I wish I had the space for it. What a great car. I even for a split second thought about trading out my '32, but only for a split second then I came to my senses.

I've been talking the Super around! It would be a blast to drive!!

    Okay... ANOTHER anouncment to ALL!

This Jan. 8th-10th is Cincinnati's Cavilcade indoor car show. I have my own display I'm in charge of there every year. This year a few thing have changed, for the better!
The area I have been given to fill this year will hold 50+ cars!! and the organizers want old race cars. UN-RESTORED OLD RACE CARS!! If any of you would like more info, or is interested in bringing a car PLEASE PM me. I'd like as many open wheel cars in the mix as I can get!

(Now, I can do restored cars, but they need to be left dirty, dusty and fresh out of storage.. )

The Hoffmans are bringing there #7 Midget, and the Vogler V6 car.

The Bowles cars will be there.

The Hart & Jones cars are in.

as well as a bunch of others..

So.. if you wanna bring a car, let me know.

Bernie Graybeal drove Lyle Robert's roadster at Winchester one time. Told me he liked it but it was odd looking thru the front tires instead of over them. He said it felt funny when the tires were pointed more to the left than the car was going left. He said it was a good car.

I just finished a new rear bumper for my midget. This has been the most challenging and rewarding thing I have ever built out of steel. I thought I would do a quick "How To" of how I did it.

First I did some calculating and figured out I needed about 8" of straight and then needed to bend the tubing 2 degrees every 1.5" for 16 bends.

After some tweaking I ended up with 4 identical curves.

I then built a quick plywood jig so I could trim all the tubes so they intersected each other over the center line and at the same location. Then welded the tubes together to make 2 hoops.

I then put the hoops in the jig vertically with wood spacers in between them, and started bending the bottom hoop.

Once the bottom hoop was fitted and tacked in place, I bent the push bar part and fitted it to all the other tubes.(Lots coping and grinding to get everything square and level with tight gaps).

Once everything was fitting just right I tacked it all together and slid it into the mounting tubes I had already mounted to my roll bar mount.

The next thing I did was drill a 1/4" hole directly through the lower bumper tube and the corresponding Frame tube. Forgot to take pictures of that part. I then used those holes as guide for a 3/4" hole saw that went through the bumper and the frame. I trimmed off the extra bumper and welded tubes into the frame. I then fitted small tubes to the bumper ends so they could be bolted to the frame.

And now I have a new mounted bumper. Some finish welding, a little chrome, and one lucky nickel and I will be set.
