I just started a HAMB Merc Club for the guys on here who OWN Mercurys. 1939-1965. I've seen Duece clubs,Banger clubs,etc. Thought it might be a great way to share ideas and info,parts chasing,how to's.....chopping,lowering,wiring,tech,etc..

I'll throw my hat in the ring. The ex wife always wanted a 51 Merc so I acquired this one a few years back. The 49 is a recent purchase. Still not sure which one will get the attention. Got a 365 Caddy and Hydro to go in which ever one does though.

My 50 is bone stock.

I'm in..... Just started working on it again and hope to have it on the road in the spring. This was a '51 4 door that I converted. The chop was done with alot of help from Glassguy. Will be 322 Nailhead powered with the stock overdrive tranny and rear. Jamco springs in the rear with 4" blocks and flipped uprights in the front. I also have 1" spacers added to the lower control arms but I may take them out not sure yet.

 

HOLY SHIT! That's a serious chop! Looks great so far...

Ya man. Not done of course, but getting there. These are the best pics I have of it right now. I am moving in the next couple of weeks so that would provide me a great opportunity for some update pics.

 

I'm in,too....A 49 (for sale in the classifieds),2 50s,and a 51 that should be done by the year 2051....

 

Of course! I think he's just, between Mercs,LOL....Hope I never meet him...cause I might just have to slap some sense into him,LOL! I couldn't let a car like that go! Especially if I built it...

 

COOL! The list is growing...There's some guys who I didn't even know had a Mercury!

 

I've got one, and it isn't the "garden variety" 49-51, lol.

 

I'm in, we are working on mine, just got the '50 front and '51 rear bumpers back from rechroming. Also bought another decklid from kenglish (Kurt) on here, who has a chopped '49 that he's doing so invite him.

 

Don't forget to tell me what year you have,so I can post it. Thanks...

Okay, I'm in. I just joined the group. I've owned mine since 1989 and I've done all the work on it myself. I'd drive it summers, then each winter I would do some major change.

BTW, easiest way to post pics is if you have them already in your own personal album or another place like photobucket. Also, try to keep the pic under 600 pixels wide max if you are including it with the text message you write. If bigger, it tends to push some of the side information off the the screen.

 

I'd like to join. I have a 40'merc conv 4 door pictured below. I also have a 50' mercury on steriods, it's actually a 50' lincoln.(does it count if I take a picture of it from the back and just say it has had 50' lincoln tail lights installed?)
