Funny things you remember. I had forgotten I started a second shift knob similar to this but the top and bottom where split in two at the knurl. The center was hollowed out to make room for a small light that would shine through a translucent dark blue (almost black) stone center. I didn't finish it. Stupid me left it in my shop locker because I never went back to school the last few days before I graduated.

Mate these are pretty damn cool, but I have a question. (Please dont take offense) Why has the eye got the bullet casing in it? That either stays with the weapon or is ejected, you'd only have the projectile in there?

  14. HA HA! What I was trying to capture was, when you sit at a light, idleling the oil handle that sticks out of the top, spins around. Many people have asked me how I did that. It just does it! The shifter is a Lokar,so I needed something to push down to release the lockout. I found that oil handle, that is off a machine of some kind, and it fit perfect, and it looks like a sword handle.

Such a cool thread! I'm sorry but no pictures right now, but you guys got me thinkin'. I have a good collection scattered all over the place. Now I have to gather them all together to display with all my other jun I mean trasures.

The center piece of my collection is a Grabowski Skull. I keep it locked up. I talked to Norm just today and told him I was workin' on a roadster. He got all excited and asked me about it. I told him all I had so far is the skull and a real Ford banjo steering wheel. Ya hafta start somewhere!

No offense taken... in fact, thanks for the compliment.
I know what you mean... the wrong end is in the eyeball. I thought about poking the lead slug out the opposite side, and probably will on another one. I just have a sick sense of humor, which I can blame directly on having paid more attention to Roth than my education as a youth, and I thought it would cool as it is.

your the first guy to notice, by the way.

  23. Some really cool knobs on this thread. Debbie & I have just added lots of new knobs to the website.

Im a fan of my own knob!
Heres my re worked Knob from Oddball. Dremmeled out the Eye and added a Red Glass Decoy Eye, also drilled through for the lokar button which is now a 45/70 Shell. That was before the Lokar push down adapter.

Those have to be the COOLEST out there. You have to see them in person. I talked to Norm a few years ago about them. He hand carves them out of drift wood. If I remember correctly he dunks them in clear and constantly rotates preventing runs until its tacky. I would love to have one. I would feel guilty if I didn't use it and just as guilty every time I put my hands on it.
