How did I miss this thing?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by menacekustoms, Nov 6, 2008.

  1. Is there already a thread for this thing on here somewhere that I just missed? Does anybody know who built this car or any other details?

I have no idea, but that is definitely the most balls out second gen. T-bird I have ever seen. I hope that baby's got a kick ass AC system too.

  6. Was the driver around? Was he wearing a silver cloak and packing some sort of disintegrator ray?

I really like that car! Just on the edge of going too far, but still tasteful. Looks like that "chrome" paint.

that thing is ridiculous, i love it! not every day you see a bubbletop that looks drivable (at least on a cloudy day)

  19. yeah, it's a 3rd gen styled 'bird - '61-'63. That is radical sharp tho'! Looks like George Jetson might'a had something to do with this one, maybe he moonlighted on it when he wasn't working at Spacely Sprockets!! I like it.

  20. On the website they show it painted black. That's interesting. It was built by Dean Arnold, the same guy the built the blue Thunderbird with the Starliner roof on it.

Does creativity go OUT the WINDOW when creating dashes for these things?
Seems every high dollar build LAMES out with a plain dash/gauge layout......

    Cool build otherwise........

That website has pics of it painted... either black or a super dark purple/blue?

  25. Well, the dash is stock Thunderbird. They wanted the look of the 50's show cars, so that helps the OEM look I assume.
