I shot 338 pics.........To much work to put them up tonight. Tell ya what. We sat at the motorhome for hours today by the main gate. You get a better show sitting and watching everyone roll past!!! And you get to hear every car roar past ya. We will be back next year in the same spot!!!!

  13. Been to everyone except the first one. had buddies who were parking cars in the spectator lot. They said the HUGE spectator lot was full to the brim at 10:45 in the morning.
Cars entering the show almost certainly had to top over a 1,000 cars. heard reports todat at the meet and greet that car numbers were pushing 1,300. (seems like a lot) but just maybe,,,,,

I'll throw one in (taken by my 9 yr old daughter!) Anyone have any information about this truck? Was it built up recently or is it an old survivor?

Yeah, I saw this piece of crap getting loaded onto a trailer about 1/4 of a mile from the Fairgrounds after the show. My wife took some pics of more big, tough rat rods getting loaded onto trailers after the show. I got stuck behind one of them from MN... it couldn't get above 35 on the highway. At least they were smart enough not to show up at the Fairgrounds with the trailer!

  26. This was my first Hunnert and damn was it great. Saw some of the neatest stuff ever and met some really great people. Thanks to all the people that put on pile-up and every one that posted pictures. Again, what a great event.
    Thanks again.
    Later,

Oh yeah! :D GREAT show! We send out a BIG thanks to all the volunteers who helped us run the show! We could NOT have done it without their help... or DWs! She's a PowerHouse!

The official count was 1133. We really spread the cars out further than in the past, but seemed like a lot more. It was the spectators that killed us! We won't know that count for awhile, but both HUGE lots out front were full and \people were triple parked, parked on the highway, and all the way down at the airport! it was CRAZY!!

We had a great time... but I miss the cold! :)

Hey Hotrodpodo, My brother took down your old '63 ford wagon instead of his very traditional '46 Ford. Unfortunately the Torque Thrusts kept him from getting in. Oh well, good times anyway. Thanks for the pics

Owner is Jeff Fink. He runs the hill with us each year at Newport. Its a survivor. I have a video from the Newport Hillclimb a few years back when trucl ( loaded with people) broke the diff at the very top of hill. Terrible noise and the rear wheels jumped a foot in the air. Some farmer sold the truck to Jeff quite some time ago...glad to see him at the pile up.
Our Bubbas garage Newport sweat shirt uses the art work from a pic of this truck. Have a few left if anyone would like one.....:D
