Looks like Chrysler emblems on the hub covers. ???????? I don't know for sure at the moment and the front fenders have Chryslerish lines but my guess is it started out as the sedan or coupe version of the roadster from 2 or 3 posts before it. Check out the hood side panels and wheels.....

My sister has the album right now but my Dad has pics of one of the local garages on a call just down the road from the old home place back around 1938. They made a wrecker out of a early 30's LaSalle roadster, as soon as I can get it from her I'll scan those and post them, might be awhile though.

The Chrysler looking truck is differnt then the roadster on the lift, look at the louvers. Both are killer. I think the truck was made from a coupe.

Cadillacs were used a lot for wreckers, plus other huge cars too.
Here is a Cad v-16 around 1930. The rad shell looks like Cad.. Those sure look like truck wheels from the 30s[IMG]

This isn't in Mn and it may not be as old as you are looking for,but it is my old 62 Ford F-500 wrecker. I no longer drive it because the insurance is so high, but have used to to haul a trailer 300 miles one way to winch a 40 Ford on the trailer to bring home. Extendable boom that cranks up and down, and a 20 ton gear driven winch with 200 feet of half inch cable. Wish I could still afford to keep license plates on it because it was a real hoot to drive.

Nah,look at how big and heavy the wheels and tires are. This thing was a truck from day one. MY best guess is a Hudson, but that's just a guess.
