1959 Cady lights were cats ass man !,So I had them on my 51 henry J full custom back in 1960,but did some mod to them**,by cutting about 1 3/4 in. off the pointed end, then putting that part up inside, this made them look like a jet engine nose and def from every ones. I cut with a fine tooth hacksaw and then polished the cut with tooth paste to make the cut shiny again. To bad I got no pic,but that should be good enough to see them in your head.:D:cool:
The 2 tail lights I use on my 28A bobtail, are from my Grandad's Barn. "Rayo Driving Lamp" kerosene lamp with magnifying glass headlight one side,an red glass tail light on the other. made around 1910.
I added 12volts an a big red lenz too headlight side that now faces to rear, making a bigger red tail light. 015.JPG

Here is what I have on my 35 pickup. I think they are old Harley turn signals. I rewired them for brake and signals.

Does anyone know what this green light is off of? Its 7 1/2 inches long and 5 1/2 round. The only markings is Hi Lite on the lens.

I'm pretty sure that the green one is a 38 Plymouth. I had a set but never knew the year until 2 weeks ago. The lady with the box stocker said it was a 38 coupe.

FWIW I sold them to my buddy and my buddy bought repro 50 Pontiac lenses and they look cool in the streamlined body. Instead of a flat lens, the rounded Pontiac's complete the tear drop look much like the chrome ones in your post.

I have never seen someone use these until I went over to BIG O's shop and seen them on a '53 Ford that Axle used to own. They are my new favorite tail light and may make there way on my '54.

    Very Kool!! I Love it.

It would only be considered a hi-jack if your car sucked.....

Kan't wait to see it completed good luck with the rest of the build.

    Happy Trails,

    Mick
