It looks you have done a great job on that car, and that you are heading in the right direction :)

But it sure is an odd car, and I look forward to seeing it done!

One hell of a job kid! Looking forward to seeing more of your build.

  4. Looking good. As others have said, it's a safe bet that you'll have the only '41 Nash, possibly the only Nash, at the local cruise-ins and shows. Keep up the good work, I look forward to seeing it finished!

  5. Well done. I like the weirdness of the car, and that you are leaving the rear fenders.

Some of the youngest guys on the HAMB are impressing the hell out of me with what they can build, virtually on their own.
That's some excellent work, keep it going!

Yea, they were called a Welded-body-and-frame construction car. It also had a full coilover spring suspension, 2 way roller steering, and an advertised 30 mile per gallon

  10. Why the hail would he radius built-in fender skirts?

    Thanks,
    Kurt

I made some pedals 2 nights ago, and got em mounted in. One holds a 58 T-bird mastercylinder for use as a clutch MC, and the other holds a Dual resivoir split MC outta a 71 Nova. My neighbor switched to boosted brakes, and threw this perfectly usable mastercylinder out. Glad i got it before the scrapper came.

Thanks alot man, you have no idea how much that actually means to me. Nobody round here thinks that car is worth a damn. Fuck em.

I also cut apart my 5 dollar Mr. Gasket headers tonight, and started piecing togethor the fenderwell headers. Got it about half way done. Now i need to go buy some tubing, and they'll be done.

That's not a project you see every day. It's not my favorite kind of car, but hey, for the money that thing is tight. Nice to see us young guys getting stuff done.

cool car, thats a pretty neat body style. this reminds me of the 57 chevy pickup i built when i was 16/17. have fun with it, won't be long before your driving it.

  16. Wow. I wonder which is more effort - building pedals from scratch, or tearing the dash and steering column and master/booster all out of a car to remove an existing set? I was going to say that's more effort than I would have even thought to put in to build them up, but then I remembered the last couple cars I pulled that stuff out of weren't exactly easy.

  17. Promise me you'll keep the bar-stool grille.....!!
Seriously though, do you have a grille in all those parts?
    I'm impressed man.
    Cheers, Bret.

Yea, i have the origional grill, but its in pretty sad shape. Plus, i dont think i will be able to use it, seing that it completely covers my radiator, and will have almost no airflow other than what the fan pulls.

great job,,,i like the fact that you took something a lot of people would have junked and are turning it into something cool...great fab work, and great job in doing so much with so little,,,wish there were more kids your age actually doing work like that ,,i am really impressed..i also like the fact that you are doing an unusual car (and a 2 door at that!)..good luck with the rest of the build and keep posting your progress..
