that reverse flow small block rules. I always wanted to build a four banger this way. I just wonder who made that cam, and if he changed the valves or stuff.
those other cars suck, what a waste of good time and welding wire!

A couple of those are pretty good. Some have too many spiderwebs, skulls and tractor parts for me.

WTF is up with SD,are they trying to get the award for the greasiest turds dressed up as cars? nowadays you can shit out a turd of a car with webs, tractor parts, goofy helmet aircleaners and call it a rod, worst yet you can have a show where they are allowed to be viewed to people who think this is what hot rodding is about, fuck ,talk about putting a bad rep out there, fucking ebarrasing.

hombres - I wasn't aware of the rule book for hot rodding. If you come across a copy, please forward it my direction. Better yet, find a link so you can post it on this message board for the rest of us to read. I want to be sure the next car I build and bring to a show (which is all about having fun) meets your standards.

I was at the show in Mitchell. I, along with 5 other cars, cruised over from NW Iowa. It was a great time. I had been looking forward to it for a long time. It lived up to my anticipation.

I feel honored to have been a part of the show yesterday. Thanks Outkasts!!

BTW... My car is the 30-31 Sedan featured in the second pic in this thread.

The Stude is nice. It looks like the same one I saw at the KKOA Salina, KS event in July.

MWS, your car was not one of the ones being discussed! It is most certainly a "traditional" car and a great engine choice. pm sent on the Hot
    Rod rulebook.

some nice photos and some interesting cars. thanks for taking the time to post.

somehow the term traditional has been mistakenly applied to this type of build, which is very much a late 90's - 2000's build style. I'm hoping it will fade away like the 80's turquoise-tweed and graphics style did.

  23. Nads, this is an open apology for everything bad I have EVER said about Florida;)!

And for those that don't know, South Dakota is more like EAST Dakota and WEST Dakota........................thank god most of the clown cars are from the EAST!

Great Pics. What "technique" do you use to make the colors so vibrant in the color photos? Almost looks like a patina of sorts... Very cool... Thanks, js
