Lets see y blocks in Model A's

    Lets see your Model A's with y blocks installed in them . Ford , merc and Lincoln . I would like to put a y block in my 30 A coupe . How are the lincoln 368 motors ? which y block would you choose and why .

  11. Well I'm a LYB fan, but If you want to put a Y block in go with a 292/312 for several reasons.
    1. Easy to find
    2. Tons of aftermarket parts, heads, intakes
    3. Smaller in physical size, easier to install

    can't post a pic here but my 30 coupe is running a 292, keep the stock firewall and stretched the frame 7 1/2 inches and works real good.

    Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. What tranny behind that LYB and also what bellhousing? Any adapters?

    Truck bell that came with the motor,adapted t4 to it with homemade ring and collar.Redrilled 2 holes and bolted up.I did a post on it just aint that great on the keyboard. Later Rob

    I flipped through it tonight and nothing jumped out at me... Is there a car or article you are referring to?

    I did find (what appears to be) a good Y-block build-up article in the Nov. 2008 Hot Rod Deluxe mag.
