You are the King of panels.

  5. Wow that looks totally amazing, but the top does need something. I think just a continuation of the panel effect on the hood. What ever you guys do it will look great

thats why they have 31 flavors! l like your onesty,i mean it was already a bitchen truck.we did a ton of more work to it other than the paint heres a list
    shaved the door handels
shaved all the emblem holes on thr hood
    lost the front bumper
filled and welded the front valance to the front fenders
    shaved the gas filler
made a filler piece for the bed to the running boards extended the runing boards to meet it now every thing ties in to gether in this area (ther was a big hole there)
    shaved the stake pockets
    shaved the bed sides
made a new bed top rail in the back panel lowered it 3/4"
made the rear roll pan flow better
made a but crack between the stake pocket post and were the roll pan starts
    nerf bars in the front
caped off the bed rail top ends
    and masaged the body some
so 9 for the new restlying and one for the old look aint bad
like i said it was a bitchen truck to begin with
we wanted steve to have somthing gambinoed

I was just going through the other thread where you show it all gold....then blam, it's all taped for the first panels. Man, that brought me back 40+ years like a kid staring at the magazine showtrucks.

Thanks for the blast from the past...and present. Great posts, great work guys

    i love it,,,,,
the only thing im not crazy about is that diagonal line through the door,,kinda breaks up the flow of all of those nice horizontal lines,,,(just my opinion, obviously)

BUT, still,,,DEFINITELY the after pics look the best,,,,,

that door was a hard one esp in the cowl area on the othere side were the vent iswas the only thing i could come up with to try and make it all work together that line folows the hood and fender edge were they meet it slopes back like that, yes thats the hardest part making it all work together!

i considered it ,i actualy checked the paint cabonet that night to see if i had enough clear if things went right.in the beging time was a big factor, and when i sealed it a lot of dirt got in the paint there was no time to let it cure then sand and base .i almost went wet on wet after the sealer ,so basicly the shinny door closed that night .we realy needed to sand and rebase it steve was on a vary small budget we realy didnt have enough paint for that nights sesion ..
beleave you me alot of work went in to that thing not to clear it..
its a shame !!ha ha ha .

dont misunderstand me,,,i dont hate it,,,,
i didnt mean it would look better without it,,i meant that if it wasnt diagonal, but horizontal, i would like it a little more,,,

i LOVE the truck,,,,,,,and alex did a fantastic job on it,,,

its house of kolor peral base coats i custom mixed them. it took 2 colors to make the gold 2 colors to make to light green.the drak green is strait out of the can.
i like to use RM also cutom mix colors and go heavy on the perals, whats cool is the stuffs compatable with the H of K bases they bolth lay down the same.the good thing about H of K is its more user friendly, with the custom mix RM you have to make sure you have why more than enuff paint becuse when its a custom mix you cant duplacate it.personaly i think the clears kill the perals ,but when you clear something your taking it to the next leavel!
