Just drop the front a little and level it out. IMO and my opinion only....I see bagging used to much to over compensate for an otherwise average car. I think it would take away from your car rather than add. Your car is way above average
i accualy was just at the store about 20 min. ago and saw the car it if fukn koooool the pictures do the car no justice you need to see the car in person VERY NICE do you live in lancaster cus i live right by the VONS that you were at
Thanks roadduster. Yeah, LOOK ON PAGE 3 FOR AN UPDATE AND A TON OF PICS. Thanks! I'm glad I decided to go ahead with it too. Thanks for the compliment. I like having a finished trunk. I still want to do a more even texture to the entire trunk. Maybe even get it upholstered. That last pic is just a quick rattlecan texture coat over the factory mudded on texture. No shit?!?! Haha, Cool! Yeah, I needed to get some stuff for dinner and it's a real nice night. I drive the hell out of this car though. It probably won't be the last time you see me cruising around the AV. I live on L-2 and 56th W. Thanks for all the feedback guys. There are still a few small bugs to work out. But I'm real happy with the decision.
I say bag it. The practicality of being able to drive it to and fro and then pancaking it when parked or showed is too much to pass up.
Definitely don't bag it,,,,haha...maybe you should add a poll now It looks great Eryk...good choice!! Bryan
You have one fine cruiser it's looking very cool. Bagging the front is a lot of work the rear is easy. If you bag both the front and rear you'll be able to drop it on the ground at shows. Bagging the front only will give a nice ride and makes it easy to get you jack under the car. Bagging your ride helps on entering and exiting driveways. Bagging is a matter of choice and style. Good luck with you choice. CRUISER
Yes! You will love it. It'll ride great look great .'wont scrape over speed bumps, unless youre an idiot. As far as traditonal, how long have hydros been around. Think of it as an improved hydro setup! Screw tradition anyway It'll look killer!
I gotta bring this back up, hey Eryk, you wouldn't happen to have more pics of the front install would you? I'm gonna save this and use it as a guide to do the bags on my 53. I love this place.
The photo of it laid out look's so damn cool! I didn't know at first if i would bag it or not, but after seeing the quality of the work and how it look's finished up, i'd say you made the right choice.. VERY nice job, and VERY nice car!
Now titanium blocks and burn'em when you lap dance I tried to do a LIL edit upload for video 'Drop it like hot' ....but f@cked it up!! lolol
Man I thought that car ruled before, now it just punched me in gut!!! Car just Looks amazing now bagged!!
Wow. Thanks guys! I'm glad everyone seems to dig it laying on the pavement. As mentioned before...this is in an UPDATE to this old thread. I appreciate all your responses and advise to bag or not to bag...but IT'S ALREADY BEEN BAGGED. Look on page 3 for build pics!!!!! I have a couple. And I can take a few more for you. Lemme get some together and I'll pm them to you. Message me later so I don't forget. I wouldn't mind helping another Olds owner out. Thanks! I think Scott's suggestion early on led me in this direction. And Coby's old photohop on page 2 sold me on it big time. I appreciate the feedback. Here's a pic my buddy Tyson took. Who needs a chick to pose in front of your car when you have blue and silver flaked Vans. And here's one that somebody kindly snapped of me and my friend Gavin rolling out of the Primer Nats a few weeks ago. I love being able to drive it that low!
Dragging this old thread up....I know I know. I'm about to start bagging my 53 olds and had a couple questions. 1) Are you running the stock rear end and IFS in the front (except for the dropped up rights & bags)? 2) When aired out does your frame lay on the ground? 3) If not what stopped you from setting the frame on the ground. 4) can you post up some pictures of what the front suspension looks like?
My last car 63 Belair 2 door post car with Air Ride Technologies Cool Ride System. Rode pretty well but I don't believe it was worth the money. I always dreaded being a long way from home and blowing a bag or line and a long ride home on a roll back. The car in my avatar a 64 Biscayne has 2" drop spindles and short coils. The stance is better and the car rides well for a lot less $$$$. Gary
Blasé,,,,,I doubt that he will see your post...after all that thread is 8 years old and Eryk hasn't been on the HAMB since July of 2015
