    sorry for the large pictures

  4. I used a gallon of Advantage industrial black enamel satin with a quart of Rustolem flat blak in it on my 92 Roadmaster sedan delivery. The last car I did still looks good after 5 years. Cost for everything, $75 with reducer and hardner. I've seen some rodders use BBQ black from the home improvement stores and it looks good too.

Here are some pics of my 34' truck that I just got on the road in July. Been driving the wheels off of it ever since. It gets 20 MPG to boot! I'm sure the 4 spd. 3.07 gear and 33" tall tire helps that out a bit.

  25. Yeah,I have used the blitz black, the tractoe supp;y enamel and the DP-9o primer sealer,,they all tend to look dull and faded after a few months exposed to the elements.

The Kirker is a paint and if you were to buff it ,,IT will be glossy,,,mine looks as good today as it did this time last year when it was sprayed.

BTW,,this is not a paid endorsement,,,I just like the ol' low gloss look!:D HRP

Well Ive heard alot of good and bad about kirker but the bad mainly from Urethane painting collision repair guys. What was the type of kirker you used. and colors and what not. I see there are a few differnt choices on the website. How would you think this would compare with hot hues and ppg and dupont and the like. obviously all of those are better than the primers and tractor supply stuff.

I have to admit Ive been gawking and drooling at the paint on hotrodprimers ride for awhile... Alot of guys have recommended the JD blitz black for this but I wouldnt feel right doing it to the truck it will deserve better. So, I am likely to go with that kirker paint.. I really like it. that said.. I have been thinking about what I want to do to the roof... do I want to leave it black or paint it a differnt color. Any recommendations.
