That's my truck. Those are 17x8 on front and 17 x10 on back. They're from pete paulsen. I've heard some bad things about them though... do a search
Thanks. I've been looking for some push through bullet caps for them, but haven't had much luck. I may end up just getting some trim rings to add some chrome to them. i've got smoothies on my truck now and they're 15x8. i have 2in of clearence. but i have like 29in tires now.
my 69(i know it's O T but) i was going to run run 17x7/8 and 18x10 in a old style gray/black centre 5 spokes. my truck was the same colour,i also had black steelies and narrow bands
heres my 66 with stock 20" dodge spares that i sanded the lip on.. then theres always jeems old truck. killer look in my book
Hey Im glad you brought those up.. I had been meaning to ask about that... I had always thought if I was gonna go classic and modern ... why not a larger steel wheel like 63chevy did. Plus Im looking at them on EBAY and they are going for 50 bucks a wheel... same at a local U pull it. for 50 bucks.. .a little elbow grease. you got a nice set of wheels. Id prolly put a thicker tire on just for ride. and to fill in that wheel well. What do you guys think about these... certainly more cost effective... even if I went with the 17 inch stock wheels. and not the 20s...those run 39 bucks. Lol I could actually afford the tires then.
20 inch dodge ram wheel on ebay put some bullet centers and bullet lug nuts... maybe some of those red line 20 inch wheels... Im kinda likin it. dont know if I can afford the redlines though!
Really rough photoshop of a truck I found online that is similar to mine... and the dodge wheels..... not bad.
no offense,,,but those are horrible looking... its an 60s truck...the best wheels for it would be something period correct in my opinion,,
I have the reds but I think Im going to change it. I do want some thin white walls and more of a stock rim with the spider caps but just not red, however it does make that seafoam green pop. Im going to re paint the white top and maybe have the rims match it or just go stock rims with the same lowered height. I like stock custom...just lower a little and Im good. Also I think wide whites look cool on just about anything... but like most people on here we all have our own little style.
yeah thats what Im thinking about doing....just clean the rims and caps up...maybe get a little different type from Coker. I love the V8 symbol in the middle. Maybe sell the ones i have so i can get chrome bumers, grille and what not...
Yeah, I like the look... lol IF I could afford to lower it that is. 600 bucks is rough to come by and that s just the front....esp when I got other necessities like rear end work... body work... dash work... interior.... so on so forth. Maybe in a few years I can slap some drop beams on it. lol.
i got lucky and found my front beams on ebay for like 390.00 then i cut the coils, and trimmed the front crossmember to give the beams a little more room to move. the back was easy, just bought a set of 3" weld on axle perches. flip the leaf springs to the bottom of the rearend, and weld the new perches to the bottom of the axle, that was a quick 5" or so inches for the rear..
Rally America is an Alliance vendor so if you join the Alliance you can get a discount. Coker is a member as well and a great place to buy wide whites. Try looking for a set of American Racign Salt Flat wheels. I think they would look good on your truck and they are available in larger diameters.
What about these babies!!!! hopefully you know im kidding. hopefully everyone wont say man thats stuff right there you need to get those... yeaah.. there cool... but only on a miata.... an ugly miata.... you know the kind you used to take when you went to pick up that ugly wierd girl with buckteeth down the road that you didnt want anybody to know that you were "seeing" ....
what about stock wheels with a reverse off set. I am not too sure what they look like I found some on stockton wheels... but not on a vehicle. Whatcha think?
