In regards to the 40 Merc White with Scallops.... (Previous Post) The car was originally owned my Maximillian (Maxie) King.... I dont know who did the original body work on the vehicle but I believe that the Redo (major modifications) was done around 1958 by Richard Korkes (Korky's Kustoms).... Not quite sure of this or not but both Korky and Maxie were members of the "Freewheelers Car Club" Whippany NJ..... Car is still alive and well ............ Features a Y Block Thunderbird Engine.... The 40 is an original convertible.... Original Rear seat was still in the vehicle the last time I seen it (About 20 years ago)........... Rich King
yep, i had to take a picture of that...doesn't happen to see 3 chopped 40 mercs next to each other too often, sorry about the size...i left it big incase anyone wanted to save the picture and use it as their background, thats what i did...
You know that would look really nice as a "Carson top" ....save the chop for later. PRESSURE......MORE peer Pressure. Love Rome
Brewsir..... Brian...... I'm still kicking my ass that I missed the bid on your 40 and lost a great car to Japan.... Its been a while... I guess you have finished up the F100 by now and probably multiple projects down the road in the last couple of years. I sold my convertible sedan to a friend from Oregon and he has it just about ready for the road... Do you still have your same email address as you did when you sold the 40......... This coupe is interesting. I would love to make a SWAP up or down... I currently have a 40 Ford Coupe that Im looking to sway.. I still have the Candy Red 40 Merc Convertible... (See Previous posts in this thread) I would have contacted you via PM but this Damn computer gets screwed everytime I try to use it........... Stick with Email that always works. Rich NJ PS Love the paint and color combination that Gene did on your 40.. I still have the old construction pic that you sent when the car was on the auction... Great work and Fantastic style......
Does anyone know how i can get in touch with the current owner ? We would like to have this in our prestigious Merc gathering -Sacramento. Thanks
