Funny thing is the 1st time i saw the car was about 1976 just out side of L.V. At Pops Oasis. Paid my 6 bucks and took a look at the car and stuff. Well the car they had was a 32 4 door all shot up I was looking at the news paper clips they had of the shooting and the car in the news paper was a 33 or 34 4 door Was funny that most people did not pic up on that and Pops made money off that car for years. Lots of time since that i think is that the car or just a 33 4 door shot up who knows. Tons of paper work could have been made up to make it seem like that is the car. Take a look at the flim and the pic of the car at the time, man the shot that car up BIG time. some of the hole in the car from the flim are not in the car they are showing So who knows ??? Dave pS she was butt ULGY
I saw a so-called Bonnie and Clyde death car one time in Gatlinburg, TN in the Smoky Mountains. It was in with several other exhibits. Funny thing was they were selling books that had the actual photographs right after the ambush with the bodies still in the car. I started thumbing through it and noticed the bullet holes were not the same as the car in the museum. I asked the owner "what gives" and he couldn't (wouldn't) explain. He did however offer me my money back. I passed, the other stuff in there was worth the price of admission. 48 Poncho
It was a good time when the law could open fire on known murderers and bank robbers with BARs and Tommy Guns, and be treated like heros for bringing them down. -Brad
wonder if this was the car that did the indoor car show circuit years ago.. saw it at a winter show long time ago. 1939fiat
Yeah, maybe it is Primm? It is at Terrible's Casino Searchlight located just west of Boomtown on Hwy 80.

Pretty cynical......There was a listing of documentation even on the shirt. Here is a crime scene shot of the driver side of the car. Bullets holes look to match exactly to the car I saw.
My brother and I stopped to see the exhibit at the casino in Ocseola IA on our way last year to the HAMB Drags. The car we saw had bullet holes that matched all the historic pictures that were there. They also had that shirt. I think the shirt was more creapy than the car.
BAR is about the nastiest thing I've ever seen. One day if I have some disposable income that is gonna be on the list of things to pick up.
Here is a video of the crime scene.....wait, it is not a crime scene! It is "the good guys won" scene! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bonnie_and_clyde
I can remember in the 60's between Tx. and ca. you could travel and see the bonnie and clyde death car in no less than 3 differant places, i remeber one trip me and a buddy stopped to see the car and got down the hyway a couple of hundred miles and there it was again, we laughed our asses off thinking man they sure were fast, we were running 80 in a 55 chevy and they loaded up and beat us! And billy the kid was buiried no less than a half dozen places.
The original car was pulled into town (arcadia,la) after the shooting with bonnie and clyde in it. They were taken out of the car and laid in the street so that everyone could see them, then the car was pushed under a leaking water tower in the middle of town. The car sat under the water tower for 20 or 30 years, when the car was pulled out the top insert had came apart and the rust was BAD from all the bullet holes where the bullets tore through the sheetmetal. When I say Bad rust, I mean it was paper thin, you could touch it and it would bend. It was bought by someone that was carrying it around in a trailer for people to pay and see, but it was in the original rusty condition, nothing like the pics above. The original car was so bad that it could never be put back into the kind of condition the car above is in.
It would be neat if That is the real thing.. I was wondering about rust too... I hope not but, It could very well be a replica. Take it from someone paid to do it.. Joshua Shaw
Cool if it's the real thang... but Dillinger had far more class... and a cooler car. http://www.rockymountainnews.com/news/2008/Feb/15/after-sale-its-bankers-hours-for-car-of/ Dillinger is one of our "locals" Well... so is Capone but i digress. Keep an eye open for "Public Enemies" coming to theaters in 2009. Lot's of old cars and footage from Wisconsin as well as the rest of the Midwest. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1152836/ Lastly... did you ask if it was sale... or at least the hood and grille shell... and what size what the shirt?
Well.. I watched the video close. If its a replica, ITS A DAMN GOOD ONE! The bullet holes line up. (Could be done with enough research) I only found one mishap. In you pictures, in the casino, it looks like the Drivers side rear door window is half up and maybe not broke.. In the video its Shatered and just a jagged edge sticking up. Why would they "replace" that window. Other items are missing such as the "Greyhound" radiator cap and the windshield wiper.. But small item like these often "Disapear" off of museum cars as souvenirs... The back window is different but it could have gotten worse over the years as well. ???????????
