  1. thanks Kewi..

Great shot of the inside of a Mr Ed trailer.
There is an article in Drag Racer mag with the trailer in it..

The coolest one I saw was at the Nationals in Detroit in 60. They made a tractor and trailer with a 37 Ford pick up as the tractor and small trailer to haul a flat head powered dragster. I think it was an all black club, cool as hell.

  3. I was gonna suggest that you include ramp trucks to this, but as usual, the HAMBers have already posted some. Maybe edit it into the title, Kev?

It's new, but it exposes the car to weather, vandals and thieves so it's kind of old timey!

  11. Hey is it still legal to pull your drag car with a tow bar? Flat towing? My '55 has been setup for one since the '60s and I dont have a trailor yet :D

I have a friend that owns the "Jade Grenade" Top Fuel FED. He wants to sell the wedge-shaped trailer the car was in when he bought it. I don't know specifics, but it is located in Central Ohio and he can be reached at [email protected]
I hope this is OK to post here, it's not like a "for sale" ad for anything I own, just passing along info.

It seems like some HAMBers get pissed when old threads get dug up but, there are a lot of new members and maybe some new info...

I wouldn't think it would be illegal I mean I see RV folks doing it all the time.

the drag car trailers where alot like the round track trailers from that time. We raced at the Peach Bowl in Atlanta in the mid 60's and towed our 55 Chevrolet on a single axel open trailer .

Tow bars are legal in Georgia, I've seen trucks ( pickups) pulling two trailers. Like a guy had a trailer full of split fire wood and was towing the wood spliter behind it.

  28. Howard Cam Special "Twin Bear" trailer with Jack Chrisman driving. This was shot at Island Dragway in NJ when the car was on a nation wide tour in 1961. I'm sure this was the first enclosed trailer I ever saw at the drags.
