Luckiest week ever

So last i got a call from my Grandma and she let me know that my Grandad was starting to get rid of some of the cars in the barn (yes he is the old guy with a barn full of Iron) SO i gave him a ring and asked what he was doing with the 29 roadster. To my luck he said i could have it and that he was making a trip to So. Cal. next week and he would just bring it to me then. SO i needless to say i was stoked on my new score so like any good hot rodder would do i started looking for a flattie i put a wanted add on craigs list for a flattie and 3 days later i got a call from an old man in my hometown who said he had a complete flattie (we have all heard that story) and to add to my luckiest week it was all there and for $350 i had a complete free spinning 59ab in the back of my truck. This is the way to start a build...

That barn is stuffed had is a mustang and t-bird nut there is also a 55 merc montarey a galaxie and outside is old 88 with the first year rocket in it

Now that flathead may be another story...
It may be complete but usually 70% of these engines are cracked and too expensive to repair. Pull the heads and pan and look for cracks at the pan rails and along the water jackets to combustion cylinder area. I sure hope you have a good one. That would be your lucky #2 thing! Great scores...

So,....aaah... whats going to happen to the other useless stuff in that old barn? Does G'dad need someone to haul that stuff away? I could do it for him to help him out.
Especially the white Chevy behind the roadster. I could help get that one at least.

Great score. Anyone that gets a good score on some stuff I say "nice job". Hey, at least some people aren't getting screwed on this old stuff and that might keep the prices a little lower.
