Customs Need info on this 1957 hardtop Kustom!!

    Would any one know about this really nice 1957 Kustom that was bulit about 30 years ago by Rod Powell and has been siting for the last 25 years.I heard it may be for sale and wanted to find out more info all about it. The work is unlike any other I have seen.

    The oldest image have seen is from a Paso show home video when it was in the fairgrounds park, that was late 1980's I believe.

    I remember talking to the owner's daughter who drove the car to the show pictured. Sounds like it was a white knuckle ride for her. My guess was she only drove modern cars and this might have been her first drive in a classic. Maybe no power brakes or no power steering.

    I'll agree, PM Rod Powell for any more info about the car.

    There is a pic that shows soda bottle caps stuck over the blue dots. The owner used to get too many tickets for running them.

    Thanks RIKSTER for the heads up on this. The custom body work was done when it was still a new car. It was built in a shop in Nor Cal. I don't know the original owner.
    The car was restored many years later by Ted Mitchell. I did the paint work.
