Hot Rods On the road again - my roadster LIVES!!!!!!!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by beatnikontinental, Aug 11, 2008.

  1. a banner day yesterday, she's a driver!!!!!

El Jefe, Franco, Rocco took a little trip down to Houston where my roadster was getting buttoned up - and I hopped in and drove her back to Austin - its been a looooooong time coming, but I'm finally back on the road again, and she drove great! That flathead sounds ROWDY - I'm so fired up to have a hot rod again. A big Texas-sized thanks to Jimmy freakin' White - it turned out killer, looks great going down the road - and feels solid - I'm carrying the Circle City flag down here, buddy! Thanks too to Cory and Tommy in H-town - and I can't say enough to El Jefe, Franco, Rocco, G. Howard, Reggie, Norm, Ryan and all my pals that helped me keep the faith and get those wheels rolling again...

See ya'll at the Dog & Duck tonight?

But all he did was smile and laugh all the way home. We will definately be at the Dog n Duck tonight. See ya there.

Nice. I really dig white wheels and blackwall tires. Gives a car an industrial, all business attitude.

Rocco took this shot - "in the unlikely case of a water landing, the seat cushion may be used as a floatation device..."

Saw you tearing down South Congress this morning at about 8:45 while I picked up some coffee at Jo's. Love the car - see you at the Dog & Duck tonight!

  23. Ha - yeah I was out terrorizing the morning commuters... hopefully some coffee was spilt, phone conversations were drowned out...

Is it just the camera angle or is the grille shell (radiator) mounted a lot higher than the cowl? In the case it is I think it would do the profile of the car a good deed if it were lowered. Cool car, just an observation, not a critisizm.

  29. Car sure looks like some fun. FWIW, I agree with Frank. Rad shell is high...
