50 and 52 starlite coupes here, combining the 2 into one bullet nosed ride.

I will therefore have parts shortly if anyone needs anything...

Not a truck that's easily found in the 1/2 ton form...

I think we are using the same bumper. Mine is from a 1959 Studebaker Hawk.

  10. Here's the Studebaker stash I recently acquired from a farm northeast of my city.

First is a '50 Commander Deluxe two-door sedan. It has some crash damage to the right front fender, and the engine head, bottom cushion to the front seat, and rear axle are gone.

Next is a '52 R6 pickup, missing the rear axle, followed by a '53 R16 1 1/2-ton flatbed that is complete.

Fourth is the vintage hot rod, a '54 Commander Regal Starlight coupe powered by a Pontiac Super Duty 389 tripower engine, about which I've already written on the board.

    http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=191972

Closing out the group is a '55 Commander Deluxe four-door sedan, another complete car.

BTW, deep in the weeds on that farm is the remains of a '37 Studebaker President two-door sedan. I've already scrounged the hood (all three panels) and grille shells. I'll return for the front fenders, but a coupla tons of scrap tractor implements must be moved to get to the body. I've not found the doors or trunk lid.

DEEPINHOCK... thanks for the complement, and STUDE-SLED... you're right my front bumber came off a Hawk, and as you know from probably doing yours, was cut, "v-ed" and bobbed to get it to fit. I did it several years ago and kept thinkin I was going to chrome it when I paint the truck, that doesn't look like anytime soon.
DEEPINHOCK... I have a friend whose last name is Diepenbroek (he should have your handle) and he also has a Stude pup... his body is rough and has a pretty ugly rattle can paintjob BUT his Stude flathead engine is SWEET complete with handmade intake and headders ... I've attached a pick here.

Any Stude-lovers out there got an extr '53-54 C/K hood? The hood on mine popped open doing 60mph last weekend - it's making me sick looking at it. I need a hood (advert in the wanteds)...

Sorry don't have a hood for you, found one on evil-bay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1953...ryZ33646QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

As far as a stude goes, with any luck I'll be picking up my 55 2dr hardtop this weekend.

yup thats about it, you got it i pulled the trim off that 38 ford grill oh and i added a bottle opener hood ornament . the rest of the truck is pretty much stock we just took a stock 47 M5 stude pick up and chopped it 8" channelled it 8" narrowed it 4" sectioned 6" out of the bottom of it suicided the doors and rebuilt the box to flow better and threw it on a pretty much stock 2"x4" tube chassis that is stepped 4" out front with a 4" dropped suicided axle and a 16" z out back with a 69 chevelle rear end and suspension set up. oh and we took a stock engine and hopped it up with a couple goodies like a .600 lift cam and 12.5 / 1 compression ,tunnel etc.etc. so all in all it is pretty much stock just modified some here and there . LOL
