I thought it was time to start a technical addition to the "Falcons done right" thread that is apparently extremely popular. this thread would be to post pictures of progress large or small of our apparently popular little cars, so as not to hijack the aforementioned picture thread. I'd be very interested to see even the smallest projects people are doing on these things. (and apparently I'm not the only one)
    for example...
my parts just came in from Oz, so I got my overdrive tranny in, and my headers came and fit perfectly! I was blown away! I thought I'd have to cut a lot. Where to share the small victory? Here!
I also just finished building my intake manifold, which was a three-month endeavor...

... and the overdrive trans with mount

You get the idea... let's see if this works:D
    Peace

ps: Since Comets are so closely related, they are included, right?

My 64 Comet wagon. First picture is without the straight axle and the next two is just the beginning stages. More pictures to come when I go out and take them.

Just a little info . It will be a tunnel rammed small block with 2 fours, Top Loader 4 speed , 9 inch with 4.11 gears. Steel black rims on back and Radir Tri Ribs on the front. How about yours ?

me and a friend who has 2 Falcons put this 260 v8 in my 64 Falcon. Engine and tranny came from a 63 Comet. Best of both worlds! Getting close to drivable. Still working thru some brake issues. Added a Granada rear end and comet brakes up front too. Now it's 5 lug all around.

What parts did you use to get the five lug patterns? I thought the common fixes did not work on pre-63 cars. Thanks!

Love the intake falconizer, looks very nice. What did you have to do to make it?

I got a great suggestion from a fellow HAMBer, and would like to encourage you all to post links to falcon/comet builds here as well. I may be scratchin' my head over a problem that some of you have already figured out, built and photographed! Share your own builds, or someone else's that you have been following.

My friend is starting a 65 convertable and the rear frame rails are gone, has anybody replaced theirs with something else or fabbed new frame rails? since no one make new stampings as far as we have found. if so could you post what you did/used and some pics? I know he would appriciate the help and so would I

As soon as I can post pics I need to get my Falcon on here. I would say you need to get rid of that air cleaner....it was my favorite till I heard about the rash of fires cause by a single backfire. Those cleaners are dangerous!:( But it looks good.:D

Here's a little inspiration (not my car- I wish!) from a fellow friend over at 460ford.com BBS. It's a '62 Falcon that makes 1,778 RWHP on pump gas. As a fellow BBF owner and enthusiast, I'm glad to see a BBF engine posting the most pump gas HP in the nation. And the Falcon itself is sublime...

hey cool junk, what did you use for the trans tunnel? mine is gone, and it looks like yours is a 1 piece replacement. did you bend that, or is it from another car?
    great work!

Try Auto Weld in Pa . They list rear frame rails for the Falcon.

Hopefully will soon be moving on to the engine next on my car.I got a little stock 260 that the heads have been shaved a little from what I was told.Want to get rid of the stock cam and put a slightly larger one with after market intake and carb.
I'm hoping to use this engine first to get it on the road and maybe one day maybe squeeze in a 351c or windsor in there.
