Honestly i have too many.. All that's needed is a daily (for winter use around here) and one old car..It's not like you can drive more than one at a time anyway..
But for some reason i can't let go of what i have and have a serious problem when another turn's up i can afford..
Some day maybe i'll grow the hell up and sell some shit.

I have my wagon, the tbucket in the garage, my daily and the wife's outside the garage, and a 51 chevy parts car and a 83 grand prix parts car at a buddy's up north. The two parts cars are probably going to the great scrap yard in the sky soon.
Oh yeah I want another car...bad....I'm sick

I have two hot rods and one daily driver.

I would have more but I would need a larger garage.

I think this is a common theme with all of us car guys. We are addicted to old rides and just can't pass up a good deal. Even if we do have a few others already deserving attention at home. In my mind you only have too many when you don't have any room to put any more. But it is always nice to sell one or two off to get money to finish other projects.

    Attached Files:

  9. 32 Coupe, 63 1/2 Falcon Convert, 56 T Bird, 47 Ford COE, 48 Anglia, 08 Ranger, 06 Super Cab (the wife's) and just agreed to buy a 72 F-250. so that's 8.
My daily is a BMW R1200RT (that's a motorcycle, I heard they make cars now too), plus 2 Harley's and 6 vintage bikes. Probably would have - no room.
All of these are runners/drivers, not rusting hulks but usable shit.
Kind of out of room - think I'll sell the 08 Ranger :)

I have to many. I have my wifes explorer, my s-10, my wifes old car that's still decent, a Jeep for my daughter, my '40 chevy, a nice 1976 chevy pu, and those are the ones that run.

    Don't run: 2 1940 chevys, a model a, and a 1948 anglia.

To many cars? You have to many when you spend more time keeping everything running and have no time for the hotrods. I'm there.

1958 Desoto Firesweep, 1950 Buick Super Riviera, 1962 MGA MKII, daily driver.
I think that six cars is the right number for me. I still need a 1950'ish Kustom (probably a 50 Buick), find stock pre-war coupe (36 or 38 buick?), pre-war hotrod coupe (36 buick?, 39 Desoto? 37 Desoto? Plymouth? Hudson?. Unfortunately I am out of room. Also, even if I had six cars I have a feeling that another one would come along and then I would have to figure out what to do about it.

Mrs Bluto has more stuff than I do. She was born in a Museum.

Too many? Well she has never told me to 'stop!' or 'sell that!' :)

    '57 Chevy 2dr wagon gasser
    '54 Buick Special, stick trans
'56 Chevy basket case, but SOLID and all there. (Well, "there" means completely taken apart and scattered around the shop)
    '62 Suburban
'73 Duster (the newest member...zero rust, less than 100K miles, original paint, cream puff)
'01 Dodge Dakota that's been lowered, 1-off wheels, some body mods, 200K miles.

At this five minutes, the only one that runs is the Dakota.
The Duster will be back on the road in two hours, when I get the screwed up ignition fixed.
The Suburban will be back on the road in two weeks when the rear end gets assembled. (I have all the parts)
The Buick could be back on the road in two months if I'd get the engine bay detailed, buy a clutch, put the new trans in it and rebuild the brakes.
The Gasser could be back on the road in two months with a miracle. '
The '56 will probably still be like it is when I die.

I expect the neighbors to show up in my yard one night with pitchforks and torches.

Seven cars, 2 bikes and a travel trailer. Considering the amount of space I have....it's too many. If I had more room....not enough.

I have too many right now, but that is about to be fixed.

I am rebuilding my garage so I have a place to park everything, and finishing and selling one OT car. I find 4 is a good number for me since that is the number of cars I have room for.

    01' Ford Exploder - daily driver/tow vehicle
69' Dodge Dart - first car, no engine in it right now,
80' Z28 - real nice car, need to finish and sell it
57' Pontiac - all it needs right now is an engine and its on the road
55' Chevy 2 dr wagon - paid for it, still have to pick it up, no place to put it until the garage is done.

Worst part is, only the daily runs right now.

I have my daily driver and and my Edsel, but it's not on the road yet. Once I find a job and get it on the road, my girlfriend wants an old car too. My son also has a 61 Ford unibody, but it's far from being ready to go.

  29. I bought my 56 T-Bird from a guy who said he had "Too Many"
He had 41 cars and had just built his dream house in Palos Verdes and there was no way the city was going to allow all these cars on the property. He built it with an 11 car garage so 30 cars had to go.
