  2. That wouldn't happen to be a black volksrod parked to a shitty green pickup at the show.......If so welcome aboard from New Berlin...your neighbor...pm me, we can drink beers and educate me on bugs...

    Come on man, I want to see some pics! I dig volksrods, even if they're not as "trad" as some would like. I can't afford all the period correct parts myself, so I feel where you're coming from.

    Not meaning to instigate anything but I wouldn't waste time worrying about not being "traditional". You have what you could afford or was obtainable and you made what you wanted out of it. I would hope people will agree that is "traditional" hotrodding even if the car isn't everyones first choice. Welcome from MD.

    I agree, and thanks. I just wanted to make clear I'm not here to change anyones minds or opinions about VWs or anything else. I just want to cruise..................:cool:

    Sweet rides. I bet that Vdub is great on gas too. I'd also bet that with todays gas prices, that Lincoln sees a lot of garage time! I like 'em both. Nice paint on the boat.

    Yeah, I put 5,000 miles on the Linc last year (Power Tour, Etc.). This year will be considerably less. Not so much the gas prices, but the Linc has been done for 3 years, and the bug still has that new toy smell.
