Everyone knows the story behind the So-Cal lakester.
    Here's my take on it.

Did some hunting for old tin last weekend. Farmer didn't want to sell this old Ford, but I got some cool pics anyway.

I guess it's 'bout time I found where all the cool kids hang out. Check out this piece I did for the 'stripers benefit auction at the Detroit Auto Rama this year. Lemme know what y'all think.

Nah. I spraybombed the canvas board, sketched it out, did the lineart with an ink pen, busted out some oil paints I had left over from college, bam, bam, bam, inked the line art again and then hit it with a clear bomb to nail everything down. If that ain't multimedia, I dunno what is. Wish I could figure out how to make 'em bigger...story of my life.

Here's one I did of the rig my pop had in college... How are you savin' yer files out? JPGS seem fatty, but I convert it to indexed and it all goes to crap.

You should grab yourself a free www.flickr.com account...post them and then you can choose what size you want to post up anywhere, that's what I do...

  19. Great stuff everyone! Here is my contribution this week. A couple of new laser cut HAMB signs. The V8 HAMB was inspired from a lockwoodkustoms welded piece in an art show back in March. The other is a the HAMB logo for hanging above my drawing table for inspiration.

Been doing some OT artwork lately so nothing to contribute to the art show, sorry.
As far as setup I use pro panels. A bit pricey but you can get small sections that fit together
and they can fit in the trunk of your car. So you don't need a van to move something that is 6 feet long.
Sorry about the pic but it is the only one I have of my setup.
Things will be different for next year though, but the panels will stay.
I try to not talk to people with my glasses on.
This was at the 2008 Lonestar Roundup.

Cool stuff this week guys! APOC, welcome and killer stuff!

  23. APOC-it takes a little practice but when you post a reply the little yellow box icon with the hills and sun at the top of the window allows you to direct link to a host website like flicker or photobucket where you can store larger jpg files of your art and bingo! large images link to the hamb.
frustrating at furst but kool after you master it
thanx for the set up pictures, shows are getting more and more crowded
and the need for more space for showcars has become a priority, which is the way it should be. but our vender spaces keep shrinking so i gotta get more effective with less space. plus there is sunlight, rain and wind to deal with, but i would be there if i was a vendor or not, cause i love the hot rod shows

Right now they're pretty hard to find. They retail for $5 a pop. If you want, you can drop a payment to my PayPal account, and I'll throw one at the postman for you. I'm runnin' low. Gotta make another print run soon! I'm kinda looking for a publisher so that more people can get their paws on 'em.

Wow! One of those would make a great "new baby" gift for a certain hot rodder going on maternity leave in Texas...hint, hint.
