Closed drive rearend on bags

I wanted to see some set-ups of a closed drive rearend on bags.. I have a 52 chevy coupe with the original 6cyl 3 on the tree and was wondering if I have to convert the rear to open drive.

 

Look on lowrider magazines website. Heading Bagging a Bombe on a budget. It had a great article on it.
