A slight bit off topic but I was wondering if you could use a 23 T ,as in the bucket type, turtle deck, track nose, all that stuff on an A fram and what mods need to be done. I like the T bucket bodies but hate the frame, grill, and the knux that put the 20'' tires on the back.

Here's the pic of my clutch pedal after dropping my touring body on that I mentioned earlier.

I posted about this on Ahooga and Fordbarn, just to get an idea of what folk had done in the past, but the only response I got was from a guy who had cut away the toe-board riser to allow the pedal to travel. I didn't like the sound of that as my body is a bit flimsey in places, so I heated up and bent both pedals further over to the right. All sorted out in a few hours.

jetmek, are you running unsplit wishbones in the front??? That 's what it looks like from the picture. The T is awesome, do you have anymore build pics? It is similar to what I'm building right now.

That's pretty cool!! You should post that up in it's own thread. A lot of guys here would like that if they saw it.

Here is a picture of mine. Doors stretched 3" with 30/31 fenders. Have a 29-31 Pontiac grill to put on it.

And here is a pic of another one I saw with the same fenders

I prefer the 'hiboy' stance that 32 rails impart

I set my cowl on my frame Sunday. No mounting holes seem to line up. There are brackets with two holes in them, on each side. That might be close to where the cowl should mount, but I would have to drill new holes in the frame. If I put a '27 Roadster cowl on a '29 frame with a '29 grill shell, will a stock, '29 Model A Ford hood fit the T cowl?

No, the T cowl is lower and follows a different profile. Have a look at mine.

Are those model a wheel centers in front that have been cut down? Joe.

Yes they are apparently it was a popular mod in the 50,s.
but I have been told to get them spun and balanced and checked before useing them.

I can make a custom hood, if I decide to run one. I guess what I'm looking-for is a measurement of where to locate my cowl, in relation to the front crossmember. I can make up something that looks good, but the length of a stock '29 hood would be a good place to start.

Ah, gotcha. I was using a complete body, rather than just the cowl, so I dropped it all on and tried to get the rear wheels somewhere near centred.

  30. bringing this back to the top. anybody else have more pics.
