Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Scotch Buzzard King, May 19, 2008.

  1. You got em. Let's see em. Post the pictures of your Slant Six ONLY! No Chevy's, Pontiac's, Hudson's, Ford's, or anything else that is not the Slant Six! Now with this said, LET'S GET IT ON!!!

    Damn, love the intake!

My slant 6 is nothing to look at yet, but it runs great. It needs to be cleaned up alot. This is pretty much what it currently looks like.

It would be easier if you just included the link here. A search of "slant six motor" finds a whole lot of info, so it's hard to know exactly what you find very interesting.......

Remember the Slant Six powered Steve Swaja designed XR-6 Roadster that a guy by the name of "LeRoi Tex Smith " built. I think it was a Car Craft project car that AMT made a model of. I use to love the sound of the slant sixes at Freeport Stadium in the sixties. They were so great in the 33 plymouth coupes with the six pipes coming down the left side of the car. I know they bored them out and even stroked them. You were allowed either a single side draft Weber or two domestic two barrels .Always a big fan of those engines.

Wasn't a special Hemi Head made for slant sixes in Oztrail-ya? I remember seeing photos and articles about it.

Here is what my stock /6 looks like now. I'm in the process of putting a 32/36 Weber on it and should have it done it about a week. Spiffing things up a little. Will post after pictures soon.
Here's a pix of the Weber on the 2 bbl manifold.

The sound of the starters is the best part! It's the sure sound of a starter you won't have to replace!

Heres mine - also o/t hamb car - 65 Dart GT Convertible. I was trying to keep it kinda stock/period(ish) looking. Its got the offy valve cover, offy 2x1 intake with standard /6 holley 1920's, dutra dual. I have a cam kit, new valves, valve springs etc to put into it. Not sure when that will happen as the Hamb car takes all my time and the /6 just keeps on keeping on.
