anyone seen these valve covers before?

    Has anyone seen these valve covers before? They fit Ford Windsors so I bought em,I am curious how old they might be.[​IMG]

    I have a set just like it. I been wondering the same thing.Mine have a Holley decals in the center part.

    I had a set on my 68 Mustang I drove in High school; back in 1973 so They are at least that old of a design.

    I had the same ones on my 302. My dad got them for me from a friend who had them hanging on the wall forever. I think ive seen brand new ones on ebay though.

    The rectangle in the fins is the give away. I think they were Mr. Gasket, but it could be that they were generic and the many sellers supplied there own decal for the center rectangle. That is just a theory of mine because they have no cast in identification. I always hated them because they were so cheap. They made the same style for almost all the 60s engines. I have a set for the FE fords. They were cheap and sold at places like Pep Boys and other places similar. They were the "wire baskets" of VCs to most of the guys.

    If those are like the SBC versions they were first introduced in the late 60s as weiands, then later the tooling must've moved cause they kept changing the insert (rectangle that's empty on yours). I've seen the chevies as blank, bowtie, "pro street", and "Motion" which were used Baldwin Motion cars like the LT-1 Vega.
