Sat May 17th is the Jalopy Showdown at Latimore Valley Pa.This will be my first if the creeks don`t rise. This Sunday I saw this great Rod at Latimore. Anyone sitting on pictures from previous Jalopy Showdowns can post em here! Anyway here is the car.
That's ScaryLarry's 32, the guy that puts the show together. Do a search and you'll find plenty of previous year photos. There's another thread going now about the show too. Here are a few photos from previous shows that I have handy. Also Piero has some good Jalopy Showdown coverage in one of the Mad Fabricators videos if you want a real preview.
you musta been there early i was parked beside larry with my roadster on sunday right after the blindfolded race Zach
Thanks for noticing my car. Somebody needs to find the post Tommy did about his ride around the track...classic.
I asked in the other thread but I don't think I got a response, does anybody know the show schedule for Saturday? I don't see one on the website.
A show schedule would be way to organized for me. Show up early and we'll keep you busy all day! Heres a sample schedule for you Get there early walk the swap meet check out the museum (before you forget) look at cars eat lunch ride the rocket (dont be too cool to ride the rocket, it is worth it!!) smush you thumb at the metal shaping area...then watch the real guys work take your car around the track watch the bands HAMB meet & greet (post will be later) watch other people throw some mud on the track and at the end of the day, stop by and watchme drop over! ride home safe This aint no lawn chair show baby!
Good, I don't even own a lawn chair. Is there a gate time, or just whenever? Is the track open all day long? I'll only be watching, unless you want to see my wife's olds alero doing laps.
Man, this sounds like my kind of show!! Love the no schedule and just roll with it part! Just show up, have fun, do all kinds of stuff including watching or being in some real action and go home happy. How the heck could it get better than that. I wish I could be there. Almost makes me want to go back and "visit" the folks in MD for an excuse, but.....ah, maybe next year.
As soon as you said grow up... you eliminated any possibility of that ever happening. That's the key.
Haha. Nope. That experiment's over with. Just coming up to enjoy the show this year. Hope to catch ya there, Don!
The dude with the sick flamethrowers on the red Impala, he chauffeured my wife and her bridesmaids in our wedding!
