    Isn't the business coupe the 3W & the 5W a club coupe?

They are both 5-window, but the business coupe has smaller rear quarter windows, shorter roof line and longer trunk section.

Plymouth went to the 3 window body for the Business Coupe in 49. Dodge Desoto and Chyrsler had the 3 window from 4o or 41. .

George here is a side by side to show the difference in the Club Coupe and Business Coupe. The business coupe has the shorter roof line and longer trunk.

The Dodge Business Coupe was a 3 window.

Thanks! I had never noticed that there was 2 different 5 w coupes, or that Plymouth was the odd man out on the business coupes.

    The car 1st pictured is mine. It's actually a 42 but looks a lot like a 47.
It has a 5" chop (I bought it this way) and in this picture has fiberglass teardrop skirts. I've since replaced those with 40 ford skirts which fit and look real good with only slight modification. Got them off ebay.

My 48 has either a 73(?)Chevelle or Cutlass subframe. Works great. A guy I know in Sylacauga some years ago was trying to put a 46 on an S-10 frame, last I heard, he was close to giving up on it.

Well thats good to know.. I have a '59 chevy apache shortstepside and an '81 camaro subframe for it

  29. My 48 is about done for now. Wanna drive it this season so I'm gonna finish the other stuff over the winter. I wanted the hot rod street drag look. With the adj. pinion snubber on I can't get the rear down as low, but it has a good look to the stance when it is as low as it will go. These are before the front clip was put back on. I will put some of the finished ones on soon. Are you building one? Let's see!
