Here at Crushproof I do most of the fab work, alot of rust repair and some chassis stuff. I can mig well. Operate a lathe. I worked for Flyrite choppers for 4 years building bikes and parts. I do mechanic work . I am also a licenced Electrician, so wiring cars is something I'm familiar with as well. I would say my weak points would be Tig and motor work.

Okay. One of my customers was looking for a good mechanic, I'll see if I can locate his number. It's in the construction industry, but it would be a start until you can find a hot rod shop or maybe you wouldn't mind working on non-hot rods.

So, I am gonna take an electrical job, but I'm gonna open a little shop just for working on my own stuff at first. I have alot to do. I will be able to do a little work for some people. I will let everyone know what's going on when I get everything together. Thanks for all the offers, I really appreciate it.

I think E. or S.E. I haven't found a house yet, I'll be looking next week. Looking in the $900 range if any one knows of any.

  20. My buddy has houses in Texas City for rent in that price range. My old house has a two car garage, two bedrooms but only one bath, for $795.

Man that is amazing...we are entertaining renting our house out so we can buy another and wait for the market to come back up to sell. We were figuring $1800-$2000/mo rent would be fair and the house isnt big! Damn NJ prices.

  22. This is an old wood frame house, not a brick home with a concrete foundation. Window units, and in an older neighborhood. It does have a new roof, and is being repainted/floored before going back on the market. Not bad for a batchelor, unless your girl isn't picky. One bath and two rooms, so a little small for a family. I had a roommate and it was O.K. for a couple years until I bought a house.

I think that might be a little too far South for me, and for some reason my wife doesn't wanna' share a bathroom with me.

    Not east or southeast.

Look at the heights area or between irvington and 45.

Well I made it, got a house, and a little shop. Gonna get set up soon. I'm planning on having a little open house for those brave enough to venture to the East side. There is also a real cool ditch to skate in the parking lot. Rent is so much cheaper here than Austin . I can't believe the difference. Can't wait to get out and do some car stuff. Oh yeah, I'm calling the shop Space City Garage. I'll let everyone know about the open house when I t's a little closer.

Where'd you end up? I'm in Sugar land, out 59 south.

This weekend the HAMB Reliability run to Galveston. There is a thread around here about it.

    Welcome
