i really dig the El Camino!! and the scallops are really subtle but make the car.

thats an nice chevy, big and bold looks good on it. mine is a 51 ford and im not sure what direction to go with the scallops. bass boat gold metalflake or something a little more tame, Watson style or something more simple. thats why im looking for some pics that people might have of some cars with them on it to try to sort out what i might do.

Not sure if this will really help with a round car like yours. Here's some gold flake scallops on my wife's '58 that some would call Watsonesque.

Wow! Never seen so many scalloped cars before. That El Camino was really well done. Can't wait to see the '51.

since we are on the subject, everytime i think of the name Watson i always remember him for the panel jobs like on his '58 Bird and the seaweed style flames he came up with. i know he did the Grapevine but is that the only "bubble style" car he did like that. seems like every photo i see of his cars its always the mid to late 50's type of vehicle. ive always admired his style of painting and he set the standard for a lot of the paint jobs we admire today. if you have a photo of a "bubble style" that Larry did put it up here too. thanks for the pics and keep them coming........................
