a little update for those who might wanna know what i been up to with it,,,,pretty much nothing..hahaha i have to many other things on the go ,,like my '64 Galaxie.. but i got the itch to flake and candy something so i spent a couple days farting around on the roof of the '49,,,this is what i came up with,it was just for fun nothing serious,,,im going to roll 14 inch Supremes or Cragars this summer to change it up a little.,,kinda mixing up styles and trying to piss of the old timers ...so here it is....
thats one of the nices chops ive seen on a chevy coupe.lost off people go EXTREME!!!they must have drank a case of red bull before cutting, but not you.your car has lots of class.someone who can see the proper proportion's of the car and cut just right is a stand up guy to me.thanks for creating a beautful car. jason
Dude your ride is RAD!! Nice chop, and I dig how you finished her off. Lets see pics with the new rubber when you go that route!
kool thanks guys ....i'll toss some pics up of it with a few different types of wheels that im going to try on it!!!
Is that a whole new piece for the C-pillars or just a wedge to fill the gap? It looks like a whole new section. English wheel? Donor part? Oh and that flake job is cool for "nothing serious" Pete
"i spent a couple days farting around on the roof of the '49" if that is "farting around" i want to see what "serious" is.
wish my poncho was that far along already lookin killer man im stuck workin on inner bracings and you get to have fun !!!!!
THE WHEELS I HAVE TO CHOOSE FROM..besides the wide whites...15 inch cragars,,14 inch appliance wires,,i also have 14 supremes that i havent yet mounted... WIRES CRAGAR
Hey Craig....you've been busy !....Man...I'm really feelin' the wires.....with the new paint on the roof, she's got a really nice "old show car" look......very classy......we'll all be rollin' soon, can't wait to see that little beauty in person with her new party dress....
For my 3 cents worth I would stick with the steelies and baby moon. Maybe the Astros will look good, but I feel that you really got something with the original wheel and tire combo. Just an opinion.
Ditto. Perfect chop. Never cared much for this body style chopped until I saw yours, it's spot-on! My vote for wheels - I like the steel wheels with the hubcaps best.
Naaa. Be different and go back to the steelies and caps. How can you go wrong with this look? Subtle. Very 'period'. Doesn't scream "low-rider wannabe" (unless you have hydros)
It was a beautiful kustom car and now it's turned into a 1970's lowrider. Great chop, sorry if I don't follow the rest... Just my two cents... to each his own...
Love the chop and body color, regarding wheels...its your ride, but I prefer the steelies - white walls and the supremes would be my second alt. / primerkid
