Just in case you haven't seen enough roundup photos, here's mine

Here's my collection of photos from the roundup. This was my first year and actually, the first "large car show" I've attended.

I was blown away by the craftsmanship of some of these cars, esp. the Atomic Punk. In between all the threads about dead dogs and what stuff is worth I missed the fact that the car was finished. The detail and finish on this car is just amazing.

I almost didn't go as I couldn't find anybody to take care of the kids so at the last minute I decided what the hell, I'll just take em with me. I'd miss out on some bar hopping but at least I'd go.

I think I succeded in getting my 12 year old interested in hot rods. I gave him a camera and let him go. He took a zillion photos (of what I don't know yet).</o:lock>

Agreed, that car caught my attention too.

Also agreed. That car is art for sure. The kid that was with it that works at Pinky's was cool too.

 

Don't worry, most of us haven't had enough pictures of the Roundup yet.

Up here in the North East we haven't had the Winter leave us yet. Everyday is a fight to break 50 degrees. It is nice to see other parts of the country enjoying Spring.

The fact that Nationally known All-Star Builders like Pinkie's and the Burroughs
skip the Oklahoma NSRA to be at the Round Up says alot for the show and for them. I was all over Pinkie's Model A - so much that I almost missed the killer '36 Roadster they had right next to it. Yeah it was glossy but what style!
And the Houston '32 parade was a little bit of everything and all top notch.

 

That black '36 belongs to Royce Glader, the same fellow who built the '29 RPU called Loaded a few years ago.

 

AND, Royce and Eric are nice folks!

He certainly is. I plan to build my truck with a nailhead so I stopped to check it out and just had to ask about the plumbing of the upper radiator hose. He spent quite a bit of time telling me talking about the build, which I appreciate.

You guys built a great looking car and it was nice to check it out.

 

Yea, next year the little ones probably won't go (between the two of them they puked three times in the van) but the 12 year old is already working on getting to go next year.
