    Ouch!

They found a kid dead in his wrecked car by me. There was a half written text message on his phone. There was also a pedestrian killed at the U of I by a driver who was preoccupied downloading ring tones.

What is so hard about hitting the dial button and talking. At least then you can look forward and speak instead of looking at your phone.

    ouch:eek:

I'm just glad looking at the impact, that its' all in the rear n the merc didnt get hit in the side at a junction or something,or a hit like that could really have done (human)damage......

In the UK,theyve recently brought in law guidelines to really hammer folks if theyre found to have been texting or talking on a mobile w/out using a hands free kit at the time of a crash/incident.

hes probably lucky he was driving that instead of some little shit box..
bummer about the damage..bright side is. he will live to fix that merc. the person who nailed him needs to do some time ..so they can think about how fuckin dumb it is to be texting while driving..a case for possible vehicle man slaughter?

I hurt for him. The good thing is he is Ok, the Merc can be fixed. The same thing happened to me years ago. I was hit by a one ton truck and a stock trailer. Thought we had everything repaired but years later the bondo in the roof ended up cracking. We didn't see anything messed up on the top, so we assumed it was ok. I should have had them total it and then try to do a by back. Prayers for a speed return back on the road.

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

It ain't dead, but it sure is hurt. That really sucks. Hope the drivers are both okay, even the damned IDIOT that was texting and driving.

I think texting should be f'ing outlawed. If you're holding a phone and really need to communicate - CALL.

someone just posted on here about his son reaching for his cell phone and wrecking his truck.

I'm guilty of talking on it... but never texting. Sheesh! That is reckless.

Probably a teenager texting at that. In New York its illegal to text or talk on the cell phone while driving but everybody still does it. Even the police. I'm sorry for your loss. Hope the driver of the merc is ok.

At least the only ones who might get hurt would be those lying under porch.

just one of the reasons i HATE cell phones,,

im usually either at my shop, or at home..
i cant think of any calls that cant wait until im at either place,,

most people are convinced they can't live without one,,,
