    FlyingPolock...
Hey man,; great to have you back!... and thanks!
I'm loving the butterscoth paint job!

  2. Flyin' P, you're embarrasing me!

Thanks for chiming in Nate. I agree, this is not the place to debate
tools and techniques. Criticims and comments are encouraged but the real place to share your oppinion is in your vote. Let's steer clear of who uses what on the challenge.

Oh crap... I'd better draw something too. (that or you can vote on the Zipper's sketch)

Right, it's late here and I had never intended spending 3 1/2 hrs playing with PSP6 tonight, but anyway, here's my first attempt at the Panel. I think you can probably see where my influence came from with the extended grille bars down the hood side. The marker lights have been shaved from the top of the headlamp housings and the headlamps frenched to remove that bug-eyed look. The back has been lowered an inch and a half more than the front.

Now you didn't think that took 3 1/2hrs, did you? No, although I don't have anything against unpainted rides, if I could afford it or had the ability then I would go for the best paint and trim I could afford - this is a kustom, after all. So the trim has been chromed and a set of '37 DeSoto bumpers added (and if anyone has an affordable pair, I would like some, please), along with some flipper caps. I think it should be a much darker red than this - as dark as possible without being brown or black.

Now I am not that good at sheetmetal, so I could well have screwed up the chop on those big flat sides, in which case I might well just take it to its logical conclusion and cut the top off and fit a Carson-style one. I'm not sure if the side window/Landau look works or not - I'll see tomorrow when I'm more awake.

    Thank you and good night!

  6. First, I want to thank Jigger, awesome job on this challenge. It was fun to go at it from the other side

It's funny, a friend of mine was selling his 46 chevy a couple weeks ago and I was real close to buying it.. I really like the style, I don't think they're ugly at all.. kind of classy really, for a pickup.

Here's mine.. nothing radical, just a healthy drop

I realy liked this challenge you guys have some great stuff!:D

On the 4x4 it has a shortened box and a custom dualy frame

Orange shop truck has 4" chop, 5" shortened Box, custom upper grille and slammed.

the scetch(didn't have time for color but imagine baby blue) is a shortened panel sliced and diced.:p

Can't waite for the next one!

I put on a COE front end then used a 4 wheel drive tranfer case for a
rear mounted engine. Crazy? yes. Turn heads? yes. click them.

Jigger was that one of those things that goes "Bump in the night"?

  19. THE POLLS ARE OPEN!!!
There were some outstanding entries on this one. There were two whose creators requested not be entered for judging that , while facing stiff competition, could have stolen the show. I think all artists goods should become fair game regardless of modesty.......
I have no idea what the prize will be so be patient.
