I bought this a few weeks ago, but just got enough room in the garage to bring it home. Found it about 40 miles away. It had been on blocks in a heated basement for 23 yrs. I hope to get started on it later this year.

In a basement ? Indulge us if you will, whats the story behind the storage ?. Not many houses can handle a coupe in the basement. I'm guessing the 4o miles was south of Akron in a split level house built to store a coupe...

Actually, it was east. Found it in Columbiana. It was in the basement of a small heating company. I went to Columbiana a few weeks ago to see a car (32 5 window) that was being painted for a friend. I asked the painter if there was any chance he knew of any A coupes for sale. He said yes, there is one a couple blocks away. Needless to say when I saw it, I bought it. I asked if I could leave it there a while and he said, well its been here for 23 years I guess a few more days won't matter.

Wow ! Quite a find ! I love hearing about stuff like this. It gives me hope that when I can afford Henry steel (one day....), it'll still be out there.

Aaargh! In my hometown no less. Wasn't aware of this one but
I'm sure I could guess the company. I'm sure not telling where the
rest are.:p Old Henry himself used to hang out in Columbiana with
hometown guy Harvey Firestone. BTW the speed shop I got my
start in in town used to race a hemi belvedere super stocker with
Grumpy Jenkins power. Great score on the A, I'm jealous
now. Curious as to which shop is painting the 32 5 window but
understand that some don't want to share that kind of info.
Good luck on your build. Keep us updated?
