Well I finally got the Hemi and all of the parts to the garage, now I have to figure out what to do with it. Any suggetions? For sure it will have to be some type of drag race inspired car. Probably can't go wrong with model a coupe and a Hemi. So anyway the engine was just as described and more. Ended up with 3 bellhousings, 2 Lenco trannys, and lots of extra parts. Internally the engine is like new, so I couldn't be happier. Cylinder heads are fully ported, he forgot to mention that. Now if I could just figure out how to fire it up on that cart.

Not sure what you paid for it but I sold the same donovan timing cover for $700 and simillar injection for $1200. nice score. all you need now is a front engine dragster chassis with lisence plates..nice score.

Kinda suprised that it doesn't have adjustable rockers on it. Is it a hydraulic liftered motor? Nice score!! Selling any extra bellhousings?

It has a solid roller set up with adjustable pushrods. I would have thought that the Donovan rockers would have been adjustable also. Who knows.

  10. Great looking engine! I can tell you, with those pistons you'll have very high compression . . . probably too much for the street unless you run race fuel. My initial guess is that this car ran alcohol? Any ideas on this? What stroke is the crank . . . how many cubes? If you have any questions on where to find Hemi stuff -- drop me a line. I've just spent the last 2 years building a blown 392 with Donovan 417 heads -- will go in my 34 coupe this spring.

Keep us posted . . . looks like a great enging to build a car around :D

The guy I bought it from told me that it was 11.5 to 1 compression. Not sure about it running on alchohol. Im going to measure the stroke so I know what Im dealing with. I'm thinking about converting the injection to electronic so I can run this bad boy on the street. This thing is too impressive to leave it sitting around.
