I have thought about paint a shark nose art on my truck. If I will do that where is it best to place it, from the torpedo or from the chrome strip?

What do you guys think, where too have it or don't have it at all?

Of course best would have been if someone have pics of it already done, or even better edit my pictures:)

    Thanks

I think it's a cool truck the way it is right now! I think someone with a truck similar to yours has it already (his is painted olive drab) and in my opinion your truck looks way better with out it. I would not even consider it if I were you. The only thing I would do to yours is paint that shell insert black and call it a day. Nice work.

Some things are better without cheese. Your truck is bitchen and I think anything like what you are talking about would kill it. Just my opinion.

yea amigo, your truck is just done right. dont paint the nose art, it would really take alot away from it....BUT it is your truck and you gotta do what you want. id start at the front of the cowl and make its way back if i were to do it.

nose art is cool, however that design would kill the truck as others have already said. maybe consider a smaller design like a "pin-up" on cowl side if your hell bent for some nose art !!

This sounds like a better idea. Remember, less is more.

Sounds pretty cool! I always wanted to do this theme from the Flying Tigers of WW2, but never could talk anyone into it!

If you make it too large, it might be a little too extreme for your truck, but that is your choice to make.

Until I saw the picture, I thought you meant "bomber nose art". It might be nice to do a Great White shark head ripping through the side, with the metal peeled back, and the name "Great White".

  12. I'd just make it plain and shiny, it's already badass.

It would become the focal point, instead of the truck itself.
Too much of a good thing is dangerous. You don't want your truck to turn into a "cartoon".
Bottom Line: It's your truck, but you asked.

You could drive it wearing Charcoal pants and a smoking jacket!
    Ba-da-BING!:D

seriously, I like the truck as it is. I think to have good nose art you'd need a hood with sides on it. Its not nose art if its not near the front!

Its cool..... but maybe not on that truck. If your itching to add something ask everyone
here that Photochops to whip you up some designs. I'll take a jab at it later. I don't know if your trying to keep an early vintage look but, how about a simple double scallop? Or a checker pattern along the lower sides?

  20. i wouldnt do it either as others ahve already mentioned it would take away from the truck..

  21. I agree NOT to use it- the shark's teeth and other nose art were used on planes with long noses like the P-40. It wouldn't look right on your pickup, but something more "subtle" might like the "flying tiger" (also on some P-40's).

If you really want to add some type of WWII-style art to your car, look through some books on the subject to find something that might suit your car better.
Again, I would go for smaller and more subtle.

Even if you go for the jaws, it doesn't seem to fit without it being on the nose. I like the idea of the pinup like Bill said, or maybe some door art.

Thanks for the thoughts. As you say my truck is probably little to small and without a hood it probably wont look good and a hood eliminated.

    Thanks thrasherbill for taken time!

Now thats the art you should put on the car if you do. Something simple and small not gregarious and over the top.
