    Is that Bruce Larson's crash at Motorplex in 1990? If so, I was there and it was like an exploding grenade, you could feel the pressure waves. Scaring, but he was A-OK

    That's an ugly bang, scary to be as close as you were. I was at an NHRA race in Virginia a few years ago, and a Top fueler kaboomed on the startline just in front of me. There was a stir behind me a few levels up and when I turned I saw a guy with a big bolt in his head. This was shut down by NHRA, as the guy died. Then they lowered the nitro percentage.

    I just love dragracing, that's what is all about to me. WIsh I was 20 years younger, then I'd get a job for a drag race team in U.S anytime. That's my life.

    Back when they started it was believed that you had to Smoke em thru the traps, if they weren't smokin' you didn't have enough power.
