I am looking to chop my 54 4dr and really like the look of this chevy in the pic. Does any one have info on this car like how much of a chop it has and what they did for the rear glass. Any info would be great. thanks
If people with 4 doors wanting to change them to 2 doors saw this pic...I think they may reconsider.......very cool chop on a 4 door....

Hey, I'm told that laminated rear window glass is now being made for this era Chevrolet. Prior to now, when you chopped one of these you had to plan and design all of the chop around the rear light. No more, but I understand the new glass is kinda tall coin. Just a thought. Happy xmas! Happy Whatever!
I could swear I've seen that car on here before. Thinking it might have been for sale...where'd you get the pic? I dig it and have a 4dr myself, thought about doing the same.
Prior to now, when you chopped one of these you had to plan and design all of the chop around the rear light. I always figure any chop has to be planned around the glass, just cuz you can get glass that can be cut does not mean it will fit in the hole you made... you can shrink, stretch, bend, unbend, weld and cut metal... all you can do to glass is cut it or break it. figure the glass out first.
I totally agree! I have a 4-dr as well and im thinking of doing a little chopping of my own. But, keeping the 4-drs functional of course.

You should get some kind of award for the stupidest fuckin' statement I ever read on the HAMB. Now welding up rear doors and keeping the small front doors makes NO sense to me at all, but to each his own I guess.
He's right fellas...just think of all those rare and desirable 4-doors that have been destroyed Just welding up the rear doors looks terribly gay. Read the threads by Squablow or Sam F to see how to do it right. That chopped 4-door looks righteous, but I'm guessing the rear windows are not functional?
Nicest Chop I've ever seen on a four door...Who ever did that chop has a ton of talent....Nice job.....I'd like to see a pic of it 3 years later....
The blue car looks like it had more taken out in the back, maybe 3" up front and 5" in the rear. Or maybe it's just the leaned B-pillar - that had to be a ton more work to do on a 4dr and keep the doors functional. Best bet would be to take some pictures of your car, side-on, with a yardstick or something taped to the door for reference, and photoshop them or just plain ol' photocopy them and cut and paste and see how much of a chop gets you to that look, or gets a look you like. I'd plan to either replace the rear window with one from some other car, or cut it out and lean it in to match the chop.
