Let's see your "unique" hub caps and wheel covers.

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by decker, Oct 4, 2007.

  1. Come on folks... surely the "custom" guys can help out on this one? Lemme see your covers... or at least some suggestions.

These might be the route I end up going...:( ("poverty caps")???

Love those bullet centers. Reminds me of the wheels in the chariot race in Ben-Hur

I've got a set of 30's / 40's style hub caps with "Roycecraft" stamped into them. I'm thinking they might have been on a trailer? Any ideas?

Does anyone have any ideas for '57 Caddy caps for a center? I'd like to put spinners on it but am not sure whats a good application.

Roycraft was a travel trailer made in the late 40's. I think they were made in Michigan. My grandfather ran a Roycraft dealership .

I've tried to search for the answer to this FNG question with no success so forgive me for jumping the thread:

How did they get to be called poverty caps? Self-explanatory? Anybody know the history behind that?
