Argh! This is killin' me! I want amodified sooo bad but have no room left, and I am not ready to give up my my truck, or the wifes mustang... That's it... I need to buy bigger house... With loads of room, a large shop and lot's of land... So who has the winning lottery numbers?

The "Ricky Lakester"

 

just a very quick mockup sort of. Just started gathering parts for this. It's the front half of a 27 Touring car, using 454/T400 still in need of a frame. Haven't decided yet whether I'll build one from scratch or use a Model A. I would like to have a frame with vin numbers on it.

 

Dang the engine is bigger than the body!!!

 

Not quite. LOL The body needs to be moved ahead about 3". Couldn't do it for the pic as the floor was interfering with the tail-shaft of the trans. It will have to be cut out and a hump put in. Should be a blast to drive and certainly won't need to hop it up at all. This is going to be a real low budget ride what you see in the pics represents a layout of less than $400

Thanks for the nod. My caps are 47 Merc ripple caps on 16" Gennies.

 

Love to see a "how to" for a modified first timer. What is best shell to look for, best and most economical frame, drivetrain preferences. You guys all do good work, trying to pick up tips and trick though pics is awesome.
