Fedsled and I spent the afternoon at Marshalls shop yesterday. We took it off the jig and mocked it up on the floor. Jason Howell built the chassis with alot of input from Marshall. Marshall has a keen eye and knows just exactly the Look He wants. He has studied hundreds of photos and looked at many resurrected cars to get what He has here. My hats off to Him and Jason, I LOVE THE LOOK OF THIS CAR!!. Its really gonna be a jewell when its done. Shit if it looks half as good as the Hotrods He builds itll still be BAD. I did say mocked up. Sam better choose another motor besides an Olds! FEDER
that is looking good. should be a quick ride Not familar with building dragsters, but what is the purpose of the pipe coming out of the crank location ?????
Oh it said "Digger" I thought you were talken about the family again Fedder. Sam is going to have to drop his olds out of a plane to get enuff speed to beat this one . This is the first time we've worked on it in a long time , we got a shit load done this time around , and hope to keep going on it . The bar in the crank hole is the line up bar for the motor ,trans and the rear end ,if you look at the first pic you can see it on the rear end Marshall
To set up your driveline angle. They run couplers and a solid driveshaft so everything has to be dead on. The cage looks very good
There's even enough room for my giant head in that roll cage, say 110mph. Can I take it for a slow run. Keep up the great work. Rulers all.
Boones... the tube is to align the mains of the motor with the pinion in the rear end... so, when you run a coupler, things line up. Anywhos... that is one bad-ass digger! Sam.
Reads like several of you know each other. I don't know Marshall. I'd like to know more about about the rail. Is he in business or is this a one of a kind build?
Jason Howell is a BAD mofo. They used to call him "The Lawn Mower Man" because he used old lawn mower engines to experiment with nitro. He runs current nostalgia top fuel out of the northwest. I talked to him about helping me build my cars when I lived up there, but we didn't agree on some things. He's a very good fabricator, builder, driver. Marshall is one of the most resourceful and talented builders I know. That car's going to be beautiful. I lost his number again, somebody post it would ya?
I heard Jason got the nickname as Conder said from putting nitro in Briggs 1 cyl lawnmower engines. And that He holds the worlds horsepower record for them. It was a crazy # maybe Marshall knows. FEDER
You sould see the videos of the briggs blowing up. I think he killed about 50 of them ,I will ask him tomarrow what the HP was , Marshall
I don't know dug , old guy like your self mite get hurt , I think you better off being a tire wiper , chicks dig tire wipers Marshall
