O/T Is there a HAMB for old boats?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Fox Valley Hot Rods, Nov 16, 2007.

  1. I'm thinking about building a flathead Ford for an old boat, is there a message board like the HAMB but for old boats and the like?

  11. Thanks for that hot boat site,i'd never checked it out before(to busy looking at the HAMB).I was very involved in the sport as a crewmember, for many years. Our last boat, was a very well known Cole T/A hydro,by the name of "Airtime".A previous owner(Jim Epler) won the world finals with it,before he went on to be the 1rst 300 mph funny car in NHRA.Our team also had success with it winning 7 of 8 races in one season.

build it, make it a flat six ford, be different, dress it up with nice stuff.

here is a knudsen boat set up, look up art maynard, he had one of the fastest division 2 hydroplane boats in the early 50's. he used a 226 ford six, and whipped a lot of flat 8's.
